The Director Catering is responsible for leading and overseeing sales and brand growth systems by developing a leadership team and raising the bar on sales and band growth standards.


Please only apply if you have experience with social media posts, building relationships with businesses, a flexible schedule to work around events and store needs, and can work quickly to get your day to day tasks completed.


Objectives:

  • Maintain excellence in character with Chick-fil-A’s vision and values.
  • Be a champion of the Raving Fans Strategy.
  • Diligently seek to maintain the unity of the leadership and team members.


Vacation:


  • After 90 days – 3 days off
  • After 1 year – 10 days off (Earning 4 hours/pay period)


Managing Sales and Brand Growth


Sales Objectives:


  • Ensure proper management and documentation of all daily SBG systems and guidelines.
  • Schedule: Works with Directors to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
  • Quarterly Review: Scheduled deep dive training and development for SBG Team (Sunday afternoons).
  • To Do List: Enters and edits all orders and communicate with others.
  • Phone System: Manage all incoming SBG/Catering calls and responds appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Mobile License: Oversees, coaches and executes all Ellis County.
  • Second Mile Service Behaviors: Fully execute per our Chick-fil-A Ennis standards.
  • Annual/Quarterly Area Marketing Plans: Oversee implementation and executes Inside Marketing, catering, ADP plans and measure results and relationships (Given to the Operator annually on December 1).
  • Events: Host a minimum of 4 CDR (Connect, Discover, and Respond) every month.
  • Social Media: Manages and executes all social media content (Weekly posts).
  • Reader Board: Oversee Reader Board content and system.
  • Donation Requests: Oversee and track all giveaways and donations.
  • Signage: Oversee store decoration and POP materials.
  • CFA ONE: Manages content, promotions, and communication of the CFA ONE app.
  • Oversee monthly ordering of needed SBG items.
  • Emotional Connections Marketing (ECM): Develops and executes an ECM strategy for FOH and DT team leaders, and team members to surprise and delight guests (Suckers, stickers, breakfast promotions, trays, intentional acts of kindness, etc.).
  • Back Stage Tours: Execute backstage tours of CFA daily standards and operations.
  • PR Strategy: Oversee the execution of Chick-fil-A Ennis annual Market Public Relations strategy. This includes working with other restaurant RMD’s, creating promotional materials, and attending restaurant events.


Team Development


Leadership Objectives:


  • Identify, train, release and coach SBG team members and leaders including one mentee by growing their personal leadership and skill capacity.
  • Create and execute a 12 Month Area Development Plan: A systematic and intentional process for developing SBG leadership staff and team member which include the following:

1. Monthly 1-1’s with every leader (30 minutes).

2. Regular SBG Leader meetings (Bi-weekly).

3. Track all SGB leaders and team members (January and July).

  • Oversee a culture of regular encouragement for SBG team members.


Raising the Bar on Sales and Brand Growth Standards


Seek and pursue innovative ways to create remarkable and emotional connections by marketing in and outside of our restaurant through the SBG Team (Noticeable raising the bar). “Growing and protecting the Chick-fil-A Ennis brand”.


  • Inside Restaurant Initiatives:

1. Increased check average.

2. Increased transaction counts.

3. Microbursts of hospitality (Surprise and Delight).

4. Breakfast growth.

  • Outside Restaurant Initiatives.

1. Additional Distribution Points (ADP’s) – leveraged to push guest back to Chick-fil-A Ennis.

2. Schools/Universities/Sport teams.

3. Medical facilities/Hospitals/Pharmaceutical representatives.

4. Breakfast growth.


“Raving Fan Strategy” – Seek and pursue innovative ways to create remarkable experiences through the assigned team in the following focuses:

  • Refreshingly Clean Environment (Dining Room, Restrooms, Exterior and CFA catering vehicle).

Measuring Success

(Monitor Metrics)


  • Increased check average, tray sales, breakfast, and outside monthly sales.
  • Monitor profitability (Positive FC: <.5% gap; LC: 0 gap; NP: +15%)
  • Receive quarterly ROE report and diagnose areas for improvement (90% in all metrics).
  • Receive quarterly CEM report and diagnose areas for improvement (top 20% in all metrics).
  • Works closely with the Ennis Health Department to ensure high food safety standards (PIC certifications, proper licenses, no health code violations).


REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years marketing experience with references
  • Exceptional Social Media skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Self motivated
  • Creative with sales pitch slogan
  • Some experience with photo editing
